All barbarism and cruelty in the history of the world was defeated by the Liberation War of 1971 - Minister of State for Culture
Dhaka (September 30, 2023 AD):
Minister of State for Culture KM Khalid MP said that the great liberation war of 1971 defeated all barbarism and cruelty in the history of the world. No one in the world has given so much blood for freedom before. Millions of people have been killed all over the country. The son was brutally killed in front of the father, the father in front of the son. Blood Holi is going on. Two lakh mothers and sisters have been dishonored. It is doubtful whether there will be so much blood, so much torture. And all this would have been in vain if the country had not been independent. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest father of the Bengali nation of all time, the desired independence of the thousand years of the Bengali nation has become possible.
The State Minister this morning at the Abdul Karim Literary Auditorium of Bangla Academy in the capital, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Itihasa Sammilani, organized by the Genocide-Torture and Liberation War Research Center (1971: Genocide-Torture Archive and a special project of the Ministry of Culture under the supervision of the Museum Trust) 'Bangladesh Genocide Remembrance and Liberation War 1971: He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the international conference entitled 'In search of multidimensionality'.
The chief guest said that some debated and raised questions about the number of 30 lakh martyrs of the Great War of Liberation. I think this numerical debate about the number of martyrs is an insult to them. The State Minister of Culture said that the number of slaughterhouses identified in the survey conducted by the Genocide-Torture and Liberation War Research Center has already exceeded 20,000. If this survey is completed, the number of martyrs in the Great War of Liberation will reach 30 lakhs.
