A two-member Islamabad High Court bench on Friday granted two-week bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief Imran Khan. The high court's order came a day after Pakistan's Supreme Court declared Imran's arrest "illegal and illegal".
The hearing began today at around 1 am local time in a two-member Islamabad High Court bench. Shortly after the start of the hearing, the court went to a break for Friday prayers. The hearing resumed at 2:30 pm local time. Earlier, Imran appeared in the High Court at around 11:30 pm.
When the court resumed hearing after Friday prayers, Imran Khan was also present in the courtroom. Imran's lawyer Khawaja Haris told the court that the action of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in this case was not lawful. He said NAB can issue an arrest warrant against someone only when the investigation turns into a formal investigation. They came to know about NAB starting an investigation against Imran Khan from media reports.

We will arrest Imran again: Pakistan Home Minister

Rana Sanaullah said this to Pakistan's Dunya TV on Thursday. The news agency AFP reported the information.
Yesterday, Rana Sanaullah said, 'We will arrest him (Imran) again. If he gets bail from the High Court tomorrow (Friday), we will wait for its cancellation and arrest him again.''

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was arrested on Tuesday from the premises of the Islamabad High Court.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Imran Khan with the help of the paramilitary Rangers in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case. The next day on Wednesday, the Accountability Court remanded Imran Khan for eight days in the case.

PTI has appealed to the Supreme Court challenging the legality of Imran Khan's arrest. In view of this application, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court yesterday.

The Supreme Court of the country declared Imran Khan's arrest illegal in the Al-Qadir Trust case. At the same time, he was ordered to appear in the Islamabad High Court on Friday.

At one stage of the hearing, the Supreme Court ordered Imran Khan to appear within an hour. Accordingly, Imran was produced in the court at half past six in the evening.

At that time, the Supreme Court said that Imran Khan should be kept in the Guest House of Police Lines. He cannot be considered a prisoner. Apart from this, the Supreme Court directed the police chief of Islamabad to ensure the security of former Prime Minister Imran.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan said Imran Khan will be a guest in the hotel. His protection is the responsibility of the government. The court also allowed 10 people to stay in the guest house with Imran Khan at night.

This order of the Supreme Court brought relief to the supporters of Imran Khan. Imran Khan was arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case from the Islamabad High Court last Tuesday. In today's hearing, Imran's lawyers told the court that Imran Khan went to the Islamabad High Court for anticipatory bail on Tuesday. At that time he was arrested from the court premises. 100 members of law and order force were there to arrest Imran. By arresting the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in contempt of court.

After the arrest of Imran Khan, supporters of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) clashed with law enforcement in various cities of Pakistan. At least 8 people were killed and 290 injured. 1 thousand 900 protesters were arrested.
